DESCRIPTION:What do you dream about becoming? Step into the shoes of a Disney Imagineer-in-training and help create a world full of wonder\, teamwork\, and possibility! Featuring songs from Encanto\, Frozen II\, The Princess and the Frog\, and more\, this week is filled with movement\, music\, and imaginative storytelling\, with students also serving as junior ensemble members in the 3–8 grade Performance Workshop of Dare to Dream Jr! \nThis program is designed for all students—whether you dream of performing onstage\, simply want a fun way to make new friends\, or both! This class is perfect for students who want to try something new\, get creative\, and have a blast—whether it is their first theatre class or their fiftieth! \nWhat You Will Learn \n\nLearn lyrics and choreography to perform a variety of musical numbers\nBecome a character and play pretend with and in front of others\nVocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’; body\, voice\, imagination\, and concentration\nHow to share opinions about a story with classmates\n\nWhat to Expect  \n\nEngaging\, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists\nA supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other\nCreative play and theatre games that explore the world\, characters\, and details of the class theme\nOpportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback\n\nWhat to Bring \n\nStudents should bring a water bottle\, a non-perishable lunch\, AND a snack each day. SUMMARY:Student Summer Camp Final Performance: Seussical Jr.
DESCRIPTION:Performed by talented students entering 1st through 8th grades\, Horton the Elephant\, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in a fantastical musical extravaganza. Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus\, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant\, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers\, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule\, danger and a trial\, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately\, the powers of friendship\, loyalty\, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

DESCRIPTION:New for 2026!  This workshop is exclusively for students entering 9th-12th grades.  \nThe ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice Jr.\, the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager\, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia\, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice\, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse\, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes\, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. \nThis program is designed for students who want to perform!  Performance Workshops emphasize both the journey and the artist. Each actor receives a role in the show\, immerses themselves in the rehearsal process\, and explores character development through the actor’s toolbox. These fun and engaging productions offer a unique opportunity to build confidence\, forge lasting friendships\, and deepen your understanding of theatre! \nWhat You Will Learn \n\nPhysical\, vocal\, and acting skills to embrace character and storytelling\nMusic\, choreography\, and staging for a nearly one-hour performance of scripted material\nRehearsal and performance etiquette\nRelevant\, age-appropriate theatre vocabulary\n\nWhat to Expect  \n\nAuditions are held during the first day.
