SUMMARY:Three On A String In Concert
DESCRIPTION:Three on a String recently celebrated 52 years in the entertainment business\, a remarkable feat in today’s fast changing society.\nJerry and Bobby performed as a duo for one show at Horse Pens 40 near Steel\, AL in 1971. Eventually they added a bass and Three on a String was born. Some personel changes and lots of one-nighters eventually evolved into performances with symphony orchestras in several states including a nine city tour with the Alabama Symphony\, opening for Bill Cosby\, Red Skelton\, Barbara Mandrel\, Jeff Foxworthy\, George Lindsey\, Ray Stevens and many more top stars. Add in concerts for art councils\, Chambers of Commerce\, Landmark Theatres and city celebrations and you have a busy schedule for these veteran entertainers.\nJerry Ryan left a career as a teacher\, coach\, and high school principal to pursue the performing dream\, as a guitar player\, vocalist\, and harmonica player and never looked back. “There is no feeling in the world like presenting our show to an audience that has no idea who we are and having the show close with a standing ovation\,” says Jerry.\nBobby Horton started taking trumpet lessons as a child and eventually became proficient at more than 20 instruments including the banjo\, dobro\, mandolin\, guitar\, violin/fiddle\, and the Irish pipes. He has worked with PBS producer Ken Burns on at least ten documentaries including “The Civil War”\, “Lewis and Clark” and “Baseball” and is in constant demand for his musical presentation of Civil War music on the college lecture circuit. But he still finds time to tour with Three on a String.\nBrad watched Jerry and Bobby learn their way around the music business before becoming the regular bass player and eventually added fiddle\, guitar\, and an occasional piano to the shows. Brad has done many commercial music projects including writing and performing for the now famous Rick and Bubba Theme Song. Brad also moonlights as Worship Leader at Springville Methodist Church.\nFormer member Andy Meginniss fits back in seamlessly after many years adding his unique talents to the already stellar show! Andy performed for years with Clair Lynch and has performed at the Grand ‘Ol Opry. Andy also moonlights as Music Leader at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and fills in with several bands in the Birmingham area.\n“Four” entertaining guys make up Three on a String. They even have a bit for that… “We are to the age with it takes 4 to make 3. But good\, clean\, fun entertainment is what we want to offer.” As they put it\, “we want people to feel better when they leave our show.”

SUMMARY:Labor Day Celebration Pops
DESCRIPTION:Based in Florida’s friendliest hometown\, “The Villages Philharmonic” is a professional Orchestra presenting the highest possible standard for excellence in musical performance since 2003. \nUnder the musical direction of acclaimed Conductor Pasquale Valerio\, the orchestra has grown in stature while enriching and shaping cultural life. The orchestra presents musical masterpieces to nourish the hearts\, souls and minds of local music patrons. \nMost members live in the Orlando area but we have regular members who come from as far afield as Jacksonville\, Tampa\, Daytona and St. Petersburg. The Philharmonic gives 13-15 concerts per year and so we don’t provide full time employment for any of the players. Our players are comprised of resident and international artists who collaborate with symphonic and operatic companies at large. Although most orchestra members are not Villagers\, there are two professional orchestra members who are Village residents and there are six amateurs who train each Saturday so that they can meet the standards required to play with the Philharmonic. \nFeaturing: \n\nMarcella Richardson\nMark Antonio de Villiers\nNorman Lee Schaffer\nSean Stork

SUMMARY:Ann Wilson
DESCRIPTION:The performance of Ann Wilson\, originally scheduled for Friday\, September 11\, 2026\, is rescheduled to Saturday\, September 12\, 2026.  Ticket holders will be contacted by a representative regarding their tickets and available options. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. \nAnn Wilson\, known the world over as a founder and the lead singer-songwriter of the barrier-breaking band Heart\, is here to stay. Widely praised among the greatest singers in the history of rock\, Ann’s extraordinarily powerful voice has helped form the bedrock of modern music for over five decades\, earning record sales of more than 35 million\, an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame\, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. As one of the first women to front a hard rock band at arena scale\, Wilson helped redefine the possibilities for female artists in rock\, delivering era-defining hits like “Barracuda\,” “Magic Man\,” and “Crazy on You.” \nIn addition to her work with Heart\, Wilson has built a dynamic solo career that highlights both her range and restless creative spirit. Her solo albums\, including Hope & Glory\, Fierce Bliss and Another Door blend rock\, folk\, and orchestral influences while pairing her unmistakable voice with bold reinterpretations and original material. \nShe further connects with audiences through her podcast After Dinner Thinks\, where she reflects on music\, culture\, and the artists who have shaped her journey. \nIn 2026\, Wilson unveils her most intimate project to date: In My Voice\, a forthcoming documentary directed by Barbara Hall that traces her extraordinary life through rare archival footage\, personal journals\, and candid storytelling\, offering an unprecedented look at the artist behind one of rock’s most enduring voices.
