In this interactive presentation\, environmental engineer\, and science communicator Dr. Tracy Fanara investigates real-world mysteries using live demonstrations and evidence-based reasoning. Together\, we’ll test phenomena from the bottom of the sea to space. Along the way\, the audience becomes part of the investigation\, turning curiosity into experiments and mysteries into measurable science. \nDr. Tracy Fanara is an environmental engineer\, research scientist\, stormchaser and television host with a BS\, ME\, and PhD from the University of Florida’s College of Environmental Engineering. With an unorthodox approach to investigation\, Tracy solves the problems no one else can by doing things no one else does. Tracy has a versatile background from trapping and saving alligators\, tagging sharks\, and mapping the ocean floor\, to designing water systems all over the world\, developing water treatment technology for earth and space\, and designing community science programs and apps to obtain environmental data to solve scientific mysteries. Tracy has international media recognition due to her expertise in hydrology and harmful algae blooms during the Florida Water crises. Tracy is now a scientist at the Nation’s Environmental Intelligence Agency\, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) where she works to understand earth systems and provide information needed to protect human lives and livelihoods from threats in a changing world. Tracy co-produces a STEM comic book called “Seekers of Science” and runs the STEM Summer Camp\, Mission: Tampa Bay. DESCRIPTION:Jon Lehrer Dance Company (JLDC) began in 2007 in Buffalo\, NY and has received critical acclaim nationally and internationally. Jon moved the company to his hometown of NYC in 2019\, where they have become a vibrant addition to the city’s dance community. Under Jon Lehrer’s artistic direction\, the company showcases his unique choreography and definitive style. His extensive background in both the modern and jazz dance idioms fosters choreography that is organic\, athletic\, artistic\, entertaining\, and often humorous\, reflecting human experiences. JLDC’s expressive style is based on three main elements of movement – Circularity\, 3- Dimensionality\, and Momentum – which combine to create a form that is best described as “Organically Athletic”. With creativity\, athleticism\, and the ability to make new and innovative modern and jazz dance accessible to all audiences\, the company has made quite a name for themselves in the dance world. Striking the elusive balance between art and entertainment\, JLDC showcases a dynamic\, fun\, and distinctive style which fuses jazz and modern dance\, creating a true spectacle onstage which can be enjoyed by dance experts and novices alike. JLDC tours extensively\, receiving critical acclaim worldwide. Dance Magazine praised\, “the company took the house not so much by storm as by quantum physics\,” and Galerie Ortenau in Offenburg\, Germany declared\, “Dynamic\, Powerful\, Elegant – brings an absolute passion for the dance.” From 2012-2016\, JLDC had the honor of touring to Russia\, sponsored by the US State Department in order to\, as they said\, “bring the best in American modern dance to the people of Russia.” These cultural diplomacy tours brought the company to Vladivostok\, Anadyr\, Perm\, Yekaterinburg\, Chukotka\, and Berezniki. JLDC has been touring to Europe since 2014. For their 2022 tour they premiered “Bernstein Celebration” – a full evening set to the music of Leonard Bernstein. JLDC was honored and privileged to be one of only a handful of dance companies worldwide given the rights to use Bernstein’s music. At home in NYC\, JLDC is a three time recipient of the prestigious CUNY Dance Initiative Award (2022\, 2023\, and 2025). His love of research makes jumping into any period piece more fun than work.\n\n  \nAngel Creeks – Artistic Director for SigPro\nAngel Creeks has an extensive background as a professional dancer for over 30 years. Her love of dance began at 4 years old when she would watch Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly on a loop. SUMMARY:Three On A String In Concert
DESCRIPTION:Three on a String recently celebrated 52 years in the entertainment business\, a remarkable feat in today’s fast changing society.\nJerry and Bobby performed as a duo for one show at Horse Pens 40 near Steel\, AL in 1971. Eventually they added a bass and Three on a String was born. Some personel changes and lots of one-nighters eventually evolved into performances with symphony orchestras in several states including a nine city tour with the Alabama Symphony\, opening for Bill Cosby\, Red Skelton\, Barbara Mandrel\, Jeff Foxworthy\, George Lindsey\, Ray Stevens and many more top stars. Add in concerts for art councils\, Chambers of Commerce\, Landmark Theatres and city celebrations and you have a busy schedule for these veteran entertainers.\nJerry Ryan left a career as a teacher\, coach\, and high school principal to pursue the performing dream\, as a guitar player\, vocalist\, and harmonica player and never looked back. “There is no feeling in the world like presenting our show to an audience that has no idea who we are and having the show close with a standing ovation\,” says Jerry.\nBobby Horton started taking trumpet lessons as a child and eventually became proficient at more than 20 instruments including the banjo\, dobro\, mandolin\, guitar\, violin/fiddle\, and the Irish pipes. He has worked with PBS producer Ken Burns on at least ten documentaries including “The Civil War”\, “Lewis and Clark” and “Baseball” and is in constant demand for his musical presentation of Civil War music on the college lecture circuit. But he still finds time to tour with Three on a String.\nBrad watched Jerry and Bobby learn their way around the music business before becoming the regular bass player and eventually added fiddle\, guitar\, and an occasional piano to the shows. Brad has done many commercial music projects including writing and performing for the now famous Rick and Bubba Theme Song. Brad also moonlights as Worship Leader at Springville Methodist Church.\nFormer member Andy Meginniss fits back in seamlessly after many years adding his unique talents to the already stellar show! Andy performed for years with Clair Lynch and has performed at the Grand ‘Ol Opry. Andy also moonlights as Music Leader at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and fills in with several bands in the Birmingham area.\n“Four” entertaining guys make up Three on a String. They even have a bit for that… “We are to the age with it takes 4 to make 3.
