DESCRIPTION:Etta May has performed her brand of clean-comedy on Oprah\, Showtime\, Comic Strip Live\, MTV\, and as a guest commentator on “CBS Sunday Morning\,” Winner of the prestigious American Comedy Awards “Female Comic Of The Year\,” and so much more.  In addition to television\, Etta May is a regular on Sirius-XM Comedy Channels and the syndicated Bob & Tom radio show.\n\n\nBorn and raised in Bald Knob\, Arkansas\, Etta May grew up alongside nine older brothers\, who referred to their baby sister as “the human sacrifice.” Etta May’s parents – her father\, a potpourri farmer\, and her mother\, bedridden by constant childbearing – didn’t realize she was a girl until she needed a training bra. \nShe met her husband\, Delbert\, an aspiring truck driver\, at a friend’s kegger. From across the yard\, their eyes locked in a loving look\, you know that stare that lasts a moment too long. Nine months later\, she was blessed with a boy\, and three more kids followed. “That’s where my comedy comes from. I just wait for my husband or kids to do something stupid\, and then I write it down.” \nBefore finding success as a stand-up comic\, Etta wandered from dead-end job to dead-end job\, including a 10-year stint as a school bus driver. She says she learned how to handle unruly kids by Armor-Alling the seats and slamming on the brakes all the way to school. Her theory: “Kind of hard to pick a fight with the kid in front of you when you’re just holding on for dear life.” \nThen she decided to take a chance on herself and follow her dream. DESCRIPTION:The great ones endure\, and Gladys Knight has long been one of the greatest. Very few singers over the last sixty years have matched her unassailable artistry. This seven-time GRAMMY Award winner has enjoyed #1 hits in Pop\, Gospel\, R&B\, and Adult Contemporary\, and has triumphed in film\, television\, and live performance.\n\nAll told\, Knight has recorded more than 38 albums over the years\, including four solo albums: “Good Woman” (1991); “Just for You” (1994); the inspirational “Many Different Roads” (1999); and “At Last” (2001).  “At Last” showed the world that she still has what it takes to record a hit album\, employing the talents of contemporary producers like Randy Jackson.\n\nKnight has continued to spread her acting wings\, making a guest star appearance in the FOX hit show “Star” and appearing in the film “Almost Christmas” in 2016\, both which were produced and directed by Lee Daniels.  She appeared on ABC’s 14th season of “Dancing With The Stars” in 2012. In 2019\, she competed on the inaugural season of “The Masked Singer” and sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.  Knight sang the National Anthem on yet another major sports stage at the 2021 NBA All-Star Game. DESCRIPTION:Based in Florida’s friendliest hometown\, “The Villages Philharmonic” is a professional Orchestra presenting the highest possible standard for excellence in musical performance since 2003. \nUnder the musical direction of acclaimed Conductor Pasquale Valerio\, the orchestra has grown in stature while enriching and shaping cultural life. The orchestra presents musical masterpieces to nourish the hearts\, souls and minds of local music patrons. \nMost members live in the Orlando area but we have regular members who come from as far afield as Jacksonville\, Tampa\, Daytona and St. Petersburg. The Philharmonic gives 13-15 concerts per year and so we don’t provide full time employment for any of the players. Our players are comprised of resident and international artists who collaborate with symphonic and operatic companies at large. Although most orchestra members are not Villagers\, there are two professional orchestra members who are Village residents and there are six amateurs who train each Saturday so that they can meet the standards required to play with the Philharmonic.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. \nBad Company enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s – their first three albums\, ‘Bad Company’ (1974)\, ‘Straight Shooter’ (1975) and ‘Run with the Pack’ (1976)\, reached the top five in the album charts in both the UK and the US. Many of their songs remain staples of classic rock radio. For seven years Robert Hart was their lead singer. He has also played many years with The Jones Gang with Kenny Jones of The Faces\, and currently with Manfred Mann’s Earthband. Dave ‘Bucket’ Colwell\, guitarist\, spent 12 years in Bad Co\, was a member of Humble Pie for several years recording\, co-writing and producing the album Back on Track\, The Jones Gang\, ASAP and many other bands.\nHart’s powerful vocals and Colwell’s authentic guitar riffs recreate the timeless\, undeniable classics that Bad Company fans demand. DESCRIPTION:What began as a fun way to work with her friends has exploded into a comedy brand of its own. When Carole Montgomery (a stand up comedy veteran of over 40 years) started in the business\, you would never see two female comics on the same show. Fast forward to today’s comedy scene and nothing has changed\, even though there are way more women in comedy.\n\nWOACA was created to give older women comics a chance to be seen and be heard. Frustrated by how women are portrayed in show business once they hit the age of 50\, Carole decided to do something about it. It was only a few years ago that she had the idea to create a show that would travel to different cities and showcase a rotating cast of older female comedians. In no time at all\, Carole’s idea become a Showtime special that made history and broke ratings records. It was Showtime’s highest rated premiere of a stand up show in 2019! Two more specials followed and a national tour is now being planned.\n\nThe women who appear in WOACA are all brilliant\, funny\, and vibrant – and it just so happens that they are all of a certain age. The Philharmonic gives 13-15 concerts per year and so we don’t provide full time employment for any of the players. Our players are comprised of resident and international artists who collaborate with symphonic and operatic companies at large. Although most orchestra members are not Villagers\, there are two professional orchestra members who are Village residents and there are six amateurs who train each Saturday so that they can meet the standards required to play with the Philharmonic.

DESCRIPTION:SPACE ODDITY\, The Quintessential David Bowie Tribute Experience is a live\, theatrically staged\, elaborately-costumed multi-media spectacle that transports audiences on a musical journey through the constantly metamorphosing career of David Bowie which was notable for constant reinvention and visual presentation in both his music and on stage.\nOver the last 20 years\, SPACE ODDITY\, starring David Brighton\, has performed throughout the USA\, Canada\, Mexico\, Australia\, Finland\, Germany\, Estonia\, Belgium\, France\, The Netherlands\, Spain\, Luxembourg\, Switzerland\, Portugal\, Israel\, New Zealand and China and is widely considered to be the world’s premier tribute to David Bowie\n\n\n \n\n\nSPACE ODDITY – MEET THE BAND\nDAVID BRIGHTON\nDavid Brighton is credited as being the world’s best David Bowie impersonator\, with credits including performing side by side with David Bowie himself in the TV commercials for Vittel Mineral Water and for Reality – Bowie’s CD.\nDavid began his musical career as a professional guitarist\, playing lead guitar with a number of popular recording artists. Quiet Riot’s Kevin Dubrow tapped David to replace the legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads.\nBrighton has performed as a resident cast member of the world-famous Legends In Concert – the Las Vegas production show. He was also cast to portray David Bowie in the Warner Brothers feature film\, The Watchmen\, and has appeared as David Bowie on VH-1 television as well as in international pop star Shakira’s concert video.\nDavid has also enjoyed portraying George Harrison around the world in a number of the leading Beatle tributes including Rain\, The Stars of Beatlemania\, The Fab Four\, 1964\, and Classical Mystery Tour\, among others.\nPAUL NELSON – Lead Guitar /Vocals\nPaul brilliantly reproduces some of rock music’s greatest guitar players’ feel & sounds (including Mick Ronson\, Robert Fripp and Stevie Ray Vaughn) and the vocal stylings of vocalists as diverse as Freddie Mercury and Mick Jagger.  His original songs have been featured on television and in films\, including the Academy Award winning – The Usual Suspects\, HBO\, Showtime\, CBS and ABC. Paul toured with surf legends Jan and Dean.\n\nDANA DECKER – Bass Guitar/Background Vocals\nDana Decker is a highly regarded music professional who has toured with the Pussy Cat Dolls\, Toni Basil and Vonda Shepard. In addition to his work as a touring musician\, he has worked as an arranger\, producer\, musical director\, recording artist and an instructor. Dana’s uncanny ability to reproduce the otherworldly bass lines in David Bowie’s music makes him the perfect choice for Space Oddity.\n\nMONICA SCHNEIDER – Keyboards/vocals/Percussion\nMonica’s vocal skills can be heard of recordings as diverse as The Sweet\, Quiet Riot\, Survivor\, The Who and numerous others. She began performing at the age of eight in musical theater and has toured throughout the US with various theaters/companies. She was a principal vocalist in Jubilee\, one of Las Vegas’ longest running shows and has performed as a singing and dancing member of the Satin Dollz and the Jive Aces.\n\nTY DENNIS – Drums\nTy has shared the stage with Alice Cooper\, Alex Lifeson\, Richie Sambora\, and Ian Astbury (The Cult).  Ty also spent time with The Motels (featuring Martha Davis)\, Firebug\, Chuck Negron (Three Dog Night) and was hand-picked by rock legends Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek to replace drumming icon Stewart Copeland in The Doors of the 21st Century. TV appearances have included the Carson Daly Show\, The Craig Kilborn Show\, MTV Japan\, PBS’s Front & Center\, VH1 Classics\, and VH1′s ‘Decades Live’\n\n  \n\nSponsored by Get Off The Bus tours
